The University of Sunderland in London guest lecture series resumes for 2021 with an online talk by Ian Sarson, former Managing Director of Compass Group Ltd.

The event will take place through Microsoft Teams on Monday 15th February at 2pm.

Ian joins International Hospitality Management Lecturer Alessandro Ferrazza for a discussion on his career path through the world of food and support services.

Compass Group is the largest international service supplier in the world, operating in 45 countries, with 55,000 clients and over 5.5 billion meals served every year.

The company operates across a wide range of industries; everything from business, industry and fine dining to education, healthcare and even vending machines.

With an annual turnover of £24.88 billion, managing success at this level requires a huge amount of business expertise which Ian has developed over a career spanning nearly four decades.

He will talk about how he managed this significant achievement along with his approach to different leadership styles.
