Gabor Neumann

BSc (Hons) International Tourism and Hospitality Management (Top-Up)

Gabor Neumann was worried his English skills would not be good enough to study for his BSc (Hons) International Tourism and Hospitality Management (Top-Up). But after meeting with our friendly and supportive staff, he has been improving his career prospects and hopes to use his degree to help his family business.

Of course, I had worries. But the staff answered all my concerns and were really supportive and friendly. I felt so relieved.

"I came to England ten years ago from Hungary and worked in the hospitality sector as a receptionist at a five-star hotel in Covent Garden. I was always ambitious, but the desire to improve myself built up over time and I just knew it was time to do something about it.

My aim is to help the family business. We operate in both Hungary and the UK so I want to use the skills I learn at University to benefit our company. Applying was quick and easy and the staff were really friendly which definitely helped the overall process.

Coming to university is a huge step and of course, I had worries. Was my English good enough? Would I be able to manage the course? But staff at the University answered all my concerns and were really supportive and friendly. I felt so relieved."
