Lecturer (Postgraduate Business)

I have over 15 years of experience in teaching, developing and leading academic, professional and executive education programmes in business management. I’ve held many senior academic roles in Higher Education before joining the University of Sunderland in London.

As a member of the postgraduate business programme management team, my responsibilities include teaching, module leadership and providing support in effective academic resource management, external engagement, employability and enterprise.

I hold two Master’s degrees in business management, a postgraduate certificate in higher education and am a fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I hold professional memberships of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Academy of Management, Academy of International Business and the Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship.



Teaching and supervision

I teach on the following courses: 


I am a programme lead for the MSc International Business Management course and lead the postgraduate research methods and dissertation modules across all postgraduate business programmes.

My teaching and research centre on:

  • International Business
  • Leadership
  • Marketing
  • Entrepreneurship

Prior to my academic career, I worked in various commercial organisations at senior levels and now train and advise entrepreneurs and established businesses.

I have been a guest speaker at many higher education and business management-related international conferences and delivered training to various organisations including delegates from European Union agencies. I am also a reviewer for the International Journal of Higher Education Management and the Journal of Business and Retail Management Research.
