Lecturer (Tourism and Hospitality)
Before transitioning into academia, I worked in the hospitality industry as well as the events sector for over fifteen years and have taught at various higher education institutions throughout my career.

My research interests include:
- Rural tourism development and poverty alleviation

I hold a PhD in Economics and Management with a focus on Tourism. During my studies, I looked at how rural tourism development can alleviate poverty alongside its impacts.
I also have a PgCert in higher education, a master’s degree in International Tourism and Hospitality Management and a First-Class Honours undergraduate in Events and Hospitality Management.
