Enrolment

You'll receive an enrolment confirmation email three weeks before the start of your course.

The email will include a link and your Student Number.

Your password will be the same as from myApplication.

If you haven't received your confirmation three weeks before your start date, please get in touch with the Student Administration team at studentadmin-london@sunderland.ac.uk. Alternatively, you can submit an enquiry through Compass.

As part of enrolment, you'll need to complete a Visa and Document check. The University will send you an email with more detail about this.

BRP cards

Biometric Residence Permit (or BRP) cards can be sent to you through the Post Office or the University.

If you've chosen either of these options, you won't be able to collect your card until after your self-isolation.

Please be assured the Post Office and the University will keep your card safe until you can collect it.

Flying start and induction

Once you've enrolled, you'll be sent information about Flying Start.

The programme is your guide to everything you need to know about the University of Sunderland in London. You can access it through our Virtual Learning Environment, Canvas.

We'll be holding live drop-in sessions to introduce you to your University team, as well as sharing further guidance to make sure you have a successful start to your academic life. We recommend you take this opportunity to ask questions you might have.

We'll send you details about how to book a live-session slot, so keep an eye out. We're looking forward to seeing you there.

Social activities

Our Students' Union have arranged a packed schedule of online activities for Welcome Week.

You can see the full itinerary on the University of Sunderland Students' Union website.

The Union have also just launched their new Buddying programme.

All you have to do to get involved is register for your SU Buddy on the website and leave the rest to us.

We'll look through your interests and your area of study to match you up with a Buddy who can help make the most of your time with us.

Coming to a new country can be difficult in normal times. We know that self-isolation can make this even harder.

We encourage you to join in with activities and reach out to us if you need anything. Self-isolation doesn't have to be lonley.

For more information visit the Get a Buddy page.

Emergency Contact

We know that self-isolation can be daunting. If you have an urgent matter you need to talk about outside of normal working hours (9am to 5pm), please call our 24-hour emergency support line on 0191 515 2028.

You'll be put through to a member of the University of Sunderland's Security team

If you're going through health-related issues or starting to feel unwell, please call 111 for information about your symptoms.
