My child has additional learning needs - what support can they get?

Home / FAQs / Parents and carers / Health and Wellbeing Service / Is there extra support for learning?

As a University of Sunderland in London student, your child will have access to the University of Sunderland's Disability Support team.

They can provide support for students with disabilities and specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia.

The Disability Support Team also offer advice and guidance to students who think they might have a specific learning difficulty but haven't had a formal diagnosis.

The service is confidential and can offer practical advice on accessing financial support and learning aids.

To find out more about how we can help your child, get in touch with the Health and Wellbeing team on 207 531 7343, or send them an email at londonhealth@sunderland.ac.uk
