pFact

pFACT (Project Financial, Accounting and Costing Tool) is the software programme the University of Sunderland in London use to work out the full economic cost (fEC) of any project. A pFACT should be used for every research funding application before it is submitted.

Purpose of pFACT

  • pFACT (Project Financial, Accounting and Costing Tool) works out the full economic cost (FEC) of your research project
  • The pFACT process gives approval from the University to continue with your submission
  • pFACT forms are important in managing expectations. The University does approve research projects that do not cover their FEC – but it's important that the people affected know about the financial commitments needed in advance.

Access

If you are already a member of staff with access to FECAF, you will automatically be given access to the pFACT system once you've gone on a training session.

If you're having or need help with a pFACT, please contact the University of Sunderland's Funding Development team. For help with any other externally-funded projects (e.g. commercial projects) please contact the University's Business Development team.
