Visa information

Student Visa

With a Student visa you can only study full-time. You're not permitted to study on a part-time basis. This applies to all levels of courses including undergraduate and postgraduate.

The process for getting a general Student visa includes:

  • University offer
  • Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS)
  • Student visa application form

The process of applying for and receiving your visa process can take several months, so we recommend starting the application as soon as possible.

CAS

Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS)

A CAS is an electronic document that generates the unique reference number you need to apply for a Student visa. It confirms to UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) that we wish to sponsor your study in the UK. Discover what steps you need to take to prepare for your CAS and how to apply for it.
