About Renu Gupta

I am a Lecturer in postgraduate business at the University of Sunderland in London, teaching MSc International Business Management and MBA.

I was born in India and spent my childhood in India and Bhutan. My educational training is in the field of humanities and law, and I hold Bachelor of Arts (Sociology and Economics), Master of Arts (Sociology) and Bachelor of Legislative Law degrees from India. I also hold a degree in English literature from Queen Mary University of London. Additionally, I am a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).

I worked as corporate lawyer in IT industry working with MNCs in India, Bahrain and Dubai (UAE) for over a decade before turning to academia. I have taught various business courses at Queen Mary University of London, King’s Business School and Bayes Business School in London. I am pursuing PhD at the School of Business and Management at Queen Mary University of London. My current research, funded by Queen Mary University of London, explores the situation of professional women in the UK Labour market.
