I chose BA (Hons) Business and Management(opens in new tab) course to strengthen my understanding of business operations and prepare myself for success in today’s competitive business environment. I wanted to develop a strong understanding of key areas such as marketing, finance, human resource management, leadership and strategic management. The course provides both theoretical knowledge and practical experience, which are essential for building a successful career in business.

After completing my degree, I would like to build my career in the consulting and professional services industry. My goal is to work for a well-established organisation in a management, consultancy or business development role, where I can continue learning and developing professionally.

I am particularly interested in working for KPMG, one of the world’s leading professional services firms. I admire its strong reputation for excellence, innovation and helping businesses solve complex challenges. I believe that working at KPMG would allow me to expand my business knowledge, gain valuable professional experience and collaborate with talented people from a range of backgrounds.

My long-term ambition is to progress into a leadership role, manage teams and contribute to the success of an organisation. I am also interested in entrepreneurship and hope to establish my own successful business one day.

I chose the University of Sunderland in London because of its excellent reputation for providing high-quality education and its strong focus on preparing students for successful careers. The University offers industry-focused courses that combine academic learning with practical experience, which was very important to me.

Studying in London is another major advantage, as it is one of the world’s leading business and financial centres. Being based in London provides access to networking events, internships, career opportunities and people from many different cultures and backgrounds. I also appreciate the supportive lecturers, modern learning environment and welcoming community, which help students achieve their full potential. These factors made the University of Sunderland in London the right choice for my higher education.

I really enjoy both lectures and independent study. The lectures are interactive and help me understand key business concepts through discussions, case studies and guidance from experienced lecturers. I also enjoy independent study because it allows me to research topics in greater depth, complete assignments independently and develop my knowledge at my own pace.

Studying both in the classroom and independently has helped me develop important skills such as time management, critical thinking, communication and problem-solving. These skills will be valuable throughout my future career.

My message to future students is to make the most of their time at University. Attend your lectures, participate in group projects and never hesitate to ask questions or seek support from your lecturers and classmates. Take part in University activities, build your professional network and make use of every opportunity to develop your skills.

Success at University is not only about achieving good grades. It is also about gaining practical experience, improving your confidence and preparing for your future career. Stay motivated, work hard and believe in yourself.
