It's important to look after yourself when you're studying. We know that there may be times when you need some extra help. Our supportive and confidential Health and Wellbeing Service provides advice and information on all aspects of physical and emotional health.

Personal Academic Tutors

Your Personal Academic Tutor (PAT) is there to support you throughout your studies with everything from growing your academic skills to guiding you on your journey into employability. Our PATs are all highly qualified student support professionals with academic backgrounds and experience. You’ll be able to go to them for advice on keeping up with your studies, careers skills, assessment support, identifying your strengths and much more.

Airport Collection Service

If you're an International Student, finding your way to campus for the first time can be a daunting experience. We're here for you from day one with a dedicated airport collection service to make sure you don't miss a minute of your time with us.

English for Academic Purposes

Join our Academic English Language Course, designed for UoSiL students, to improve your academic English language. This course will have a different topic each week, including Techniques, Essay Structure, and Academic Style. 

Student Engagement

The Student Engagement team are here to enhance your student experience and monitor your time as a student with us, from the moment of you arrive through to your graduation. They focus on your attendance and academic performance, health and wellbeing and provide impartial non-academic guidance.
