Degrees explained

At the University of Sunderland in London, we offer degrees at every level from foundation to doctorates. A degree is a qualification awarded by a university. Degrees are awarded to those who complete a prescribed number of modules and / or credits. Different degrees are mapped to various levels on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF).

Clearing

UCAS Clearing is a system that helps students explore courses that we still have available. This is an opportunity for you to apply for university if you don’t already have an offer.

You can use Clearing if:

  • You’re applying after 30 June.
  • You didn’t receive any offers (or none you wanted to accept).
  • You didn’t meet the conditions of your offers.
  • You’ve declined your firm place using the ‘decline my place’ button in your UCAS application.
