This course is designed to help students develop the skills needed for a career in accounting and finance, with a focus on modern technology. It includes new modules that cover important topics like financial accounting, taxation, big data analysis, and computerised accounting. Throughout the course, students will learn how to apply their knowledge in real-world situations, improving their technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. By the end of the course, students will have gained a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial management, and digital tools used in the industry.
Assessment is done in a variety of ways, including group work, presentations, case studies, and exams. Both ongoing and final assessments will help students demonstrate their understanding of the course material and their ability to think critically and reflect on their learning.We aim to ensure that graduates are well-prepared for the challenges and demands of the accounting and finance sectors, with skills valued by employers.
The typical entry requirement is successful completion of an HND or its equivalent as follows:
BTEC HND in Finance BTEC HND in Business and Management BTEC Higher National Diploma in Business or related area ABE Advanced Diploma in Business Administration IBAM Advanced Diploma in Business Administration 240 credits or equivalent of a recognised UK undergraduate award in a relevant finance, business, or management-related discipline You'll also need:
Three passes at GCSE grade C (or 4 in numerical grade) or above (including Mathematics and English Language)* or A minimum of Level 2 Key Skills in Communication and Application of Number. You must meet the minimum English language requirements to join the course:

*Undergraduate fees are set according to rules from Government in line with forecast inflation. The fee for your first year of study for 2026/27 will be £9,790. You will pay tuition fees for every year of study. Fees may increase every year based on the Retail Price Index.
