Course summary

We equip our students with a deep understanding of welfare structures and processes within integrated health and social care. Our course offers advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential for managing the health and social care sector. It emphasises multi-agency approaches, aligning with current government initiatives.

Students will complete at least one placement, gaining valuable real-world experience. Graduates are prepared for further professional training or postgraduate study, supported by Subject Benchmark Statements in Health Studies, Social Policy, and Social Work, and aligned with the QAA and University assessment strategies.

Core module

In order to complete this programme students must successfully complete the following CORE module: Pain or Happiness? Understanding Somatic Illnesses (30 credits)

Optional modules

In order to complete this programme students must successfully complete OPTIONAL MODULES totalling 90 credits.

How you'll learn

You'll learn through workshops, small group work, lectures, computer-based learning, presentations and independent learning. Plus, you'll get one-to-one support from our expert academic staff. You'll be marked on your group project and presentations, multiple-choice questionnaires and timed tests.

The annual, full-time fee for this course is:

  • £9,790 if you are from the UK*/Europe
  • £17,500 if you are an international student

*Undergraduate fees are set according to rules from Government in line with forecast inflation. The fee for your first year of study for 2026/27 will be £9,790. You will pay tuition fees for every year of study. Fees may increase every year based on the Retail Price Index.
