During our graduations in November, we presented an Alumni Achiever of the Year Award to 2016 MBA graduate, Natnicha Srichamnarn, whose professional success has set a shinning example to fellow University of Sunderland in London students and alumni.
Originally from Nakhon Ratchasima, in north-east Thailand, she came to the UK to study at the university back in 2015. Entrepreneurial and determined, Natnicha left her permanent job as a marketing manager to start her own health and wellness commerce business. In her words, to do “what I love and am passionate about”.
Her business, Nicha Group Ltd, has, since then, gone from strength to strength. Drawing on the knowledge gained through studying at the university, Natnicha has built an e-commerce business - marketing vitamins and supplements. An enterprise that works to “bridge healthcare gaps and empower ethnic-minority female healthcare.”.
Her professional success has also been recognised, with Natnicha recently received a High Flyer 50 Global Icon Award - as a trailblazer in health and wellness, and was also a finalist at last year’s Women of the Future Awards.
A ‘robust foundation’ for success
As Natnicha explains, in this video interview filmed at November’s graduations, studying for her Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Sunderland in London laid a “robust foundation” for success.
Natnicha also urged current and prospective students to “embrace every learning experience and engage with the thriving community at the university that encourages development” and that “Every step in growth is a step towards success”.
Reflecting on her learning journey and achievements, having been presented with the Alumni Achiever of the Year Award in front of the next generation of university alumni, Natnicha explained - “Studying at the University of Sunderland in London was the best decision I ever made. It has opened so many doors – it was truly life-changing”.
