How do I request information held about me?

Home / FAQs / Corporate and legal / Freedom of Information / How do I request information held about me?

The Data Protection Act 1998 lets you ask the University for information we have about you as an individual.

To do this, you'll need to complete a Subject Access Request Form and email it to dataprotection@sunderland.ac.uk. Alternatively, you can post it to:

Data Protection Officer, University of Sunderland, Room 402, Fourth Floor, St Peter's Gate, Charles Street, Sunderland, SR6 0AN

We normally have 40 days to respond to a request.
