The Gateway

Our Gateway is a one-stop-shop and first point of contact for students on all aspects of university life from their point of arrival through to graduation. We can help with anything from financial and welfare advice to visa issues, and accommodation.

The Gateway and Compass

We are dedicated to providing exceptional support to all students. Whether you have questions about student discounts, free short courses or anything else, our team is here to help. We provide the required support for academic activity and stimulate personal, social, cultural and cognitive development, ensuring that you are best equipped in your learning environment.

You can find us conveniently located on the 4th floor of the university’s Marsh Wall Building.

We are here Monday to Friday, and our office hours are: between 9AM - 5PM

If you’re not on campus, you can communicate with us by sending us a ticket via Compass Home or via the Compass UoS mobile app for any inquiries you may have.
