Choosing the right university is too important to get wrong so I did a lot of research before I chose the University of Sunderland in London. That meant looking at a wide range of universities but it was actually a pretty easy decision in the end. The real deciding factor was the course itself - International Tourism is ranked in the top two in the country so that was a big factor. Recommendations were important too: a number of my friends studied here and only had good things to say.
Naturally, I had a few worries before I started. This was the first time I’d travelled to Europe and I was nervous about making friends, finding accommodation and obviously the British weather!
But everyone has been so helpful and I’m really happy to be here. Of course, I know there will be challenges but I’m ready for them. I’m so motivated to achieve my goals in my chosen industry and I’m absolutely driven to get my degree.
