The best pictures from our 2022 summer graduations

The University of Sunderland in London's 2022 summer graduations were held over two days at Southwark Cathedral last week (July 28 and 29). 

Let's take a look back at the ceremonies and all the joy and celebrations that came with them with this selection of some of the best photos taken on the day.

"There is nothing more special than being up here and seeing the faces of our graduates, and the happiness they exude on being awarded a degree and having it recognised publicly," said University of Sunderland in London Vice-Chancellor Sir David Bell during his graduation address. 

"I ask our graduates to keep a place in their heart for The University of Sunderland [in London] and talk proudly of their time with us," the Vice-Chancellor added.

Students graduated across four ceremonies – two on Thursday and two on Friday – in front of friends, family and other proud guests in the stunning hall at Southwark Cathedral.

The ceremonies were packed with highlights, including the above group photo on the Friday afternoon and even a marriage proposal after the ceremony on Thursday morning (she said yes!).
