Assistant Director (Marketing Recruitment & Admissions)
Jelena is the Assistant Director (Marketing, Recruitment & Admissions) at the University of Sunderland in London, where she has been a member of the senior management team since joining the University in 2014.
She has held several roles across recruitment and admissions, developing a strong track record in student recruitment strategy and operational delivery. In her current role, Jelena leads the strategic direction and management of marketing, student recruitment and admissions, supporting growth, strengthening the University’s profile, and improving the applicant journey from enquiry through to enrolment.
Alongside this, Jelena oversees communications and engagement for the London campus. This includes shaping how the University communicates with colleagues, students and external audiences, managing engagement with partners and civic organisations, and supporting the delivery and promotion of events, initiatives and partnerships across London.
Jelena holds a BA (Hons) in International Tourism and Hospitality Management from the University of Sunderland and a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Administration, Management and Leadership from the University of Nottingham. She also holds a CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing, is a Chartered Marketer, and a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
