Dr Manesha Peiris

My research looks at entrepreneurship through the lens of the structure and agency gap, while also presenting an inclusive idea of its practice. My research is driven to add to the growing body of feminist entrepreneurship research by creating a more inclusive idea of what it means to be an entrepreneur. In particular, I focus on creating an intersectional theory of the subject, putting the focus on non-western women business leaders from emerging economies. 

Coming from an interdisciplinary background, my work is naturally also informed by gender, consumer behaviour, online trust, and technology acceptance.
