I know some of the topics covered in my course, do I still need to study all of it?

Home / FAQs / Applying / Entry requirements and qualifications / Prior learning

If you think you already know some of the topics covered in your course, either from previous learning or work experience, you might not need to study all of the course.

Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) is the name given to the process of credit that goes toward a qualification because of something you've learned in the past.

If you can get APL you won't have to learn the same topic again and could be exempt from a module, set of modules or a year of a course.

If you think you might be eligible for APL, please contact your course leader.
