Research Ethics

All research done by the University of Sunderland, both at the University of Sunderland in London and the campuses in Sunderland and Hong Kong, has to be done inline with the University's Research Ethics Principles, Professional Codes of Practice and the law.

All University research must be reviewed by the Research Ethics Group (REG) unless it can be 'Self Certified' by the Principal Investigator.

In line with the University's rules on research involving human participants and personal data, all research must go through proper ethical reviewed

The University Research Ethics Group (UREG) is responsible for this policy and for the University’s ethical review process.
