Nikoleta Chavdarova

BA (Hons) Business and Management

Nikoleta is a BA (Hons) Business and Management student studying with us here at the University of Sunderland in London. She tells us about her experiences choosing to apply to us and working from home during the pandemic.

I’m more inspired now than ever to successfully complete my education and make my dream of becoming an entrepreneur come true.

“I’ve always wanted to get a proper business education like the one I’m receiving at the University.

Apart from being interesting, the BA (Hons) Business and Management course is a chance to learn and develop real-life skills that I can transfer to my career.

I’ve only been in the UK for six months at this point, but I’ve already started working for a beauty consultancy.

I love the work, but I really want to be financially independent. For me, that means running my own business.

Which is why I decided to get into higher education. I want to broaden my knowledge and get a degree that will help me on my way to becoming an entrepreneur.

The University of Sunderland in London was the obvious choice for me. It has a great reputation and I’ve seen loads of recommendations from alumni.

Plus, I’m excited to get back to the campus because the location is so great, right in the heart of London.

In terms of the course, I couldn’t be happier. The modules are all practical and interactive which is something I really enjoy.

It means I must think and act like the businesswoman I want to become.

Everything I’m learning, all that knowledge and the skills I’ve acquired so far will help me set up and run my own business successfully in the future.

Anyone that’s thinking about applying to study at the University should seriously consider it. It’s a highly beneficial educational experience.

The lecturers are all so professional and friendly, and there’s a huge amount of cultural diversity among the whole community.

Studying in an environment like this is so motivational. It inspires me to give my best every day, to make personal improvements to my ongoing development.

Despite the difficult circumstances we’re all in right now, I have to say, I really don’t feel like my education has been affected at all.

That’s all down to the high level of remote learning the University provides.

All the lectures and workshops have remained interactive and worthwhile thanks to the professionalism of the lecturers.

I’m also thankful to the IT department for their efforts in making sure all of us students have access to brilliant learning platforms.

I’m more inspired now than ever to successfully complete my education and make my dream of becoming an entrepreneur come true.”
