Student life doesn't have to mean going without. There are plenty of companies out there that want to help you save on their products. Everything from takeaways and the weekly shop to clothes and days out are covered, so it won't be a struggle to balance the cost of living with your studies. 

Most of the discounts you'll find below are available online, but studying in London means you have access to a much wider range of activities than students in other parts of the country. Whether you're headed to Oxford Street for a shopping spree or taking a trip on the London Eye, there is a saving for you. 

Totum

Totum (formally NUS Extra) is the go-to student discount card for anyone studying at a UK university, with popular deals including a 10% discount at the Coop and a six month trial of Amazon Prime Student. 

Totum has offers on eating out, uni essentials, travel, finance and more. Plus you can get a card for up to three years including a PASS accredited proof of ID that's accepted throughout the UK.

Student Beans was founded in 2005, named after the starving-student staple: baked beans. Today, it's a website packed with all manner of discounts for companies like The Times, Boohoo, Top Man and Currys PC World. Plus their useful Near Me function helps you find all the best deals within walking distance.

Like Student Beans, UniDays is a website dedicated to helping students find the best deals, from clothes to cosmetics and food to fitness.

Studentdiscount.co.uk is one of the best places to start. You can find deals on Adobe Creative Cloud, Apple, ASOS and more.

You can also find major student savings on the websites of major brands. Some highlights include: three months free Spotify Premium with a reduced rate of £5 a month after that, up to 10% off Apple products with Apple for Education, 20% New Look discounts in stores, 30% saving on Transport for London travelcards and season tickets with the 18+ card.
