University of Sunderland in London students on a Graduate Insight Day

We all have goals when it comes to our careers after university - whether that’s launching your own business or joining an existing company. But how do you know what it will be like working for your dream business? That’s where Company Insight Days come in. Hear from the Careers and Employability team on why you should take advantage of these opportunities.

Company Insight Days are short periods of work experience aimed at university students. The idea is to give you valuable insight into the industry and find out more about graduate roles in an organisation. You can hear about what skills, strengths and qualities the company and, by extension, their competitors, are looking for in their graduates. They’re an ideal way of getting ready for a world after graduation.

Another benefit of Company Insight Days is that they show a genuine interest in the company. If you end up applying for a role, mentioning that you went to one of these Days will show that you’re motivated and proactive in planning for your future career. You’re also likely to get some very valuable insight into the company, which can give you that all-important edge over another applicant.

So take control of your career and get involved with some of the opportunities on offer. Don’t wait until you’ve finished your degree!

You can find a regularly updated list of Company Insight Days on the University of Sunderland in London Careers and Employability website. Of course, because of lockdown these days are now online. Think of it as a chance to improve your career prospects from the comfort of your own home.

We currently have virtual Company Insight Day opportunities at:
