Our ACHIEVE Microsoft programme has been carefully crafted by the University's Digital Learning team to support you in your journey towards MOS certification. Throughout the programme, you will learn to harness the full potential of your chosen Microsoft Office application, as well as gain valuable test-taking experience through practice exams. 

The programme is comprised of both an in-person induction and an online module, ensuring you receive a comprehensive and well-rounded education. By the end of the module, you will possess the skills and knowledge required to excel in the certification exam. 

How do I become a Microsoft Office Specialist? 

To embark on your journey toward becoming a Microsoft Office Specialist, we have crafted an engaging and informative induction session that you won't want to miss. During this induction, you can expect the following: 

1. Certification roadmap: We will provide you with a clear roadmap outlining how you can achieve your MOS certification. We will introduce you to the online module hosted on Canvas, which will be your essential companion in preparing for the final certification exam. This module will be your guiding light, equipping you with the knowledge and skills required for success.  
2. Mock certification exam: As part of the induction, you will have the unique opportunity to take a mock certification exam. This mock exam reflects the actual certification exam you will need to pass to earn your specialist certification. Importantly, if you excel in the mock exam and achieve a passing score, you will be awarded the certification directly, without the need for an additional online module training. It is a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate your existing skills and fast-track your certification journey. However, if you don't pass, don't worry – the mock exam is designed for practice, and we are here to support you every step of the way. 

Please note, you can initially enrol in and complete either Excel, Word, or PowerPoint. Once you have achieved certification in your first chosen application, you will have the opportunity to tackle the other. We have designed the process to be flexible and sequential, ensuring you can focus on one application at a time and master it before moving on to the next.
