October marks Black History Month across the globe. Originating in the USA, it is a yearly observance that started out as a way to recognise the African-American community's contributions to American society and has since grown to become an international affair that champions and celebrates black people of all backgrounds allover the world.
We spoke to some of our staff and student ambassadors to find out why they think Black History Month is important and how they see it developing going forward.
"It is a time to reflect on historical racism and celebrate black excellence, black joy and black achievement"
