"I chose Project Management at the University of Sunderland in London because London is a major international city and the campus is situated in an area with lots of big companies and industry nearby. The course is also dynamic, whereby you can be a project manager in the IT industry, the construction industry, or the oil and gas industry etc.

Before I came for my master’s I was working as an IT specialist as well as a product manager. London reminds me of where I grew up. The island and mainland of Lagos are where all the major things happen and that’s exactly how it feels in London. There is a lot of opportunity here, exactly the way it is in Lagos. You’re able to have access to big companies, regardless of what industry you’re thinking about.

The course so far has been really enjoyable. I’ve been enjoying it as it links to my past experiences and I’ve been able to apply them to the course.

The fact that the course is dynamic is my favourite thing about it. It makes me happy because, I think I’m a multipotential person. The course makes a lot of sense to me as I can relate it to several angles and industries.

My plan for after graduation is to see how I’m able to give back to the community at large. Also, I’d like to work at one of the big tech companies. Google has been a dream of mine; Google, Apple, Facebook, or any of the top insurance firms like JP Morgan.

As a Digital Coach, one of the main things you are doing is interacting with students and staff, helping them with digital and IT support. You’re almost like a product specialist. Being a Digital Coach has helped me with my experience and helped me better understand the experience I’ve had in the past.”
