I would honestly encourage anyone with a passion for business to come and study here.

“I used to work in business administration. My time in offices gave me a real appreciation for all the parts that go together to make a successful company.

That’s why I decided to get an academic education in this sector because through my work I discovered a love for it and I wanted to see how far that interest would take me.

I started out like a lot of people, with a Higher National Diploma (HND). That was a good entry into business thinking but I knew I wanted something more.

That’s when I found the University of Sunderland in London. I was attracted to its reputation over the years for academic knowledge and, obviously the location too.

Canary Wharf is an incredible place to study if you’re interested in business. It also happens to be very convenient for me to get to which was always going to be a big draw.

What you actually learn at the University is another major selling point for me. All of the modules are fascinating and I can see how they’d all help me with my future career.

In particular, I’ve really enjoyed the Strategic Management in a Global Context course.

One idea I have for after I graduate is to start my own business, and I’d really like to make it an international one.

The module has given me the knowledge I’ll need to actually achieve that, which is fantastic and so inspiring to me.

Obviously, a lot of the time I’ve spent a the University has been during the COVID-19 pandemic.

It’s not something anyone would ever ask for, and I must say that I did find it really challenging at times.

You need to have quite a lot of self-discipline to get all your work done.

I did manage to keep on top of everything but thankfully now we’re going back into the classrooms a little bit.

I’ve already had one on-site lecture. I’m not going to lie, I was a little nervous at first.

But when I walked in and saw all the measures that have been put in place, the distancing, the masks and hand-sanitiser, I was able to relax and just enjoy my class.

It’s an excellent place to study, the University of Sunderland in London. I would honestly encourage anyone with a passion for business to come and study here.”
