We're proud to announce that one of our lecturers has won the Most Digitally Innovative Teacher Award in the annual Student Nominated Teaching Awards (SNTA).
A Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader at the University of Sunderland in London is leading a team of consultants working with the government of Uganda on their social care system. Dr Patrick Igulot, an expert in the industry and head of the University’s health and social care courses, is running the ‘Developing the Operational Framework for Social Care and Support System for Uganda.’

The annual International Conference of the Royal Geographical Society (RGS) took place this month in their Kensington offices, London. Our lecturer in Events and Entertainment, Fotios Vasileiou took part in the event, presenting his research on ‘emotional geography in higher education’.
Last month, Lecturer in Postgraduate Business Alessandro Ferrazza joined a panel discussion to talk about experiential learning in his work at the University.
Last month, two researchers at the University of Sunderland in London presented their work on the importance of race equality in higher education. Dr Giuseppe Cantafio (Academic Development APP and TEF) and Yasita Onyeneke (Personal Academic Tutor) talked about the project at the Teaching and Learning Conference 2021.
