Gourav Bardia (Master of Business Administration (Top-Up)) has taken on a lot of roles during his time at the University of Sunderland in London.
He’s helped students, from their first visit to graduation, as a Student Ambassador and worked with the office teams to put together events and activities as an Intern. He’s also brought students together as President of both the International Students Association and the Swimming Club.
“I see opportunities around every corner. I don’t like missing out on any of the amazing things the University is doing, so I take the initiative and do my best to learn and take part. I’ve been lucky enough to work with almost every department in the University, from Student Engagement to Events and the Gateway.
Coming to study at the University of Sunderland in London has been a life-changing opportunity.
I’ve worked as a Student Ambassador, helping students to resolve their problems. I’ve also been part of initiatives like the Student Mobility Project where I got to visit the University of Sunderland, and the Business Enterprise Certificate. That one was an opportunity to work on my business ideas and get the support and guidance I needed to make them a reality.
Coming to study at the University of Sunderland in London has been a life-changing experience. Just like I’d heard! I’ve been able to use it as a point to embark from on my career path.
There are so many different paths you can take here, with so many different courses. For me, one of the best things about studying here has been the location. You really feel like you’re around big business being so close to Canary Wharf.
I was amazed by the variety of expertise each faculty possesses. They’re all able to share their experience as well as in-depth knowledge so students have the chance to become well-rounded. They make you feel like you belong. “
