Kasia's degree from the University of Sunderland in London provided her with key insights into business and its assorted organisational components. This knowledge is anticipated to pave the way for many career prospects going forward.

“The internship I undertook offered me a great opportunity to get some hands-on experience, which I believe is invaluable for launching a professional life.” Kasia Maciejewska, BA (Hons) Business Management

“I'm originally from Poland but have been living in London for the past 11 years. I'm an enthusiastic individual who enjoys socializing with friends and taking trips to unfamiliar places.

As an alumna of UoSiL and current intern, I gained the fundamental knowledge about the industry I was looking for through their offering of a BA (Hons) in Business and Management. The university's friendly and helpful approach, along with its easy-going atmosphere and great location played a significant role in my decision to enrol there.

My degree has been an important factor in setting the trajectory of my career. It has supplied me with a strong foundation in business and several organizational areas, as well as aiding me to get my first job.

My ambition to enter the arena of HR made me submit an application for an internship at UoSiL - a move I’m pleased to say was worth it. I was hoping that the experience would be advantageous to my advancement in this field.

During my freshman year of studies, I was lucky enough to be part of a team that arranged for a charity event. It was an ambitious task, but the delight we felt afterwards was invaluable. This experience will always stay with me and has been useful in my current job as an HR intern.

This internship has been extremely beneficial overall. I feel privileged to be in a great working environment, where I'm continuously acquiring knowledge. My aim is to ultimately become an HR manager and this experience will go a long way towards helping me reach my goal. Additionally, the university is providing courses which are assisting me with self-improvement and career growth. Practical experience is essential when embarking on a new career path, thus I'm grateful that I have been given this chance.

As a fellow student, it's essential to keep your eyes fixed on what you aim to achieve and have faith in yourself. Even if there's difficulty, always try your hardest and make a full effort!”
