Who is it for?

Prepare4Uni is specially designed with prospective students in mind. If you're thinking about joining the University of Sunderland in London community, this is the course for you.

It's free to join and gives you a unique introduction to what it's like to study here and how to get the most from your studies.

You'll learn about the expectations of our student community, create study plans and get support on areas including time management and financial guidance. 

What will I learn?

Prepare4Uni covers nine key areas of university life, including: 

  • An overview of the University 
  • The benefits of studying with us
  • An introduction to lectures and workshops
  • What study skills you'll need for your course
  • Understanding your learning style including what motivates you and creating a life plan
  • Digital skills and using them during your studies
  • An introduction to the support services available at the University
  • Careers support
  • Money and your student finances

How it works

The course is made up of eight sessions over four days, taking place on Tuesdays and Fridays from 10am to 4pm.

Your classes will be a combination of face-to-face and online learning and you'll be taught by our expert academics and support staff.

Dates and how to apply

The inaugural class of Prepare4Uni will start on Tuesday 8th March 2022 at 10am with further dates and course information being sent to you upon sign up.
