Working with a Graduate Route Visa

In this section, we'll take you through the working permissions you'll need to follow while your Graduate Route visa is pending, as well as after it's been granted.

Working as a Student

As a student, you can still work in the UK under the Tier 4/Student Route conditions but you might need to submit proof you can work once you graduate. If you need this, you should request an International Working Letter.

Working while your Graduate Route Visa decision is pending

You can still work in the UK whilst your waiting for a decision on your Graduate Route Visa as long as you are under your Tier 4/Student Route. You might need to submit documentation on your right to work after your studies, in which case you'll need to request an International Working Letter.

Working with a Graduate Route Visa

Once you've got your Graduate Route Visa you can do any employed or self-employed work except as a professional sportsperson or coach.
