Lecturer (Top Up Business)

I lecture on Business and Management programmes at the University of Sunderland in London. I have over a decade of postgraduate teaching experience in higher education institutions in the UK. These experiences include academic programme management, curriculum design, module leadership, personal academic tutoring, and research projects and dissertations supervision. With industry experience in data analytics and consultancy services on business improvement and innovation, I am adept at preparing teaching and learning materials that cater for diverse study backgrounds and reflect the wider environment in which the Higher Education sector operates.

Teaching and supervision

I teach the following programmes:

BA (Hons) in Business Management and Entrepreneurship (Top-up)
BA (Hons) Business and Management
BA (Hons) Business and Management with Integrated Foundation Year

I teach several modules including undergraduate Entrepreneurship, New Venture, Creation, Business Analytics, and Strategic Management in the Global Context.

Research

My interest is in applied social, and economic research areas with a preference for the following:

Economics of Education
Environmental and Natural Resource Economics
Health Economics and Policy
Social Policy and Welfare Programs
Poverty and Inequality Studies
Labour Market and Employment Policies

I possess a vast academic knowledge and skill set in Economics, with a focus on Quantitative Methods and Development Economics, as well as Pure and Business Mathematics, Statistics, and Business Management courses. My academic qualifications include the following:

BSc (Hons) in Economics from the University of Sierra Leone
Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies (Edexcel BTEC, UK).
MBA in Business Management from the University of Sunderland, UK.
MSc in Applied Economics and Data Analysis from the University of Essex, UK.

I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCert HE) Level 7 from the University of Sunderland.
I am a Fellow of the Advanced Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
