Senior Lecturer/Programme Manager (Extended)
I am the Senior Lecturer and Programme Manager of the Integrated Foundation Year programme at the University of Sunderland in London. I manage a team of three full-time lecturers and an associate lecturer to provide the course for students at the University. I am responsible for the effective functional and operational management of the programme and the team. I deliver, develop and promote teaching, related research and external engagement activities in conjunction with faculty stakeholders and institutional policies.

My role also includes supervising learning, teaching and assessment of modules. I also oversee the development of programme material for the University’s online learning tools. This includes curriculum enhancement and organisation of teaching and learning.
My role is to ensure that the academic needs of the students on the Integrated Foundation Year programme are met. This includes problem-solving issues that arise in the course in accordance with associated regulations, procedures and best practice.
