Senior Lecturer/Programme Manager (Accounting/Financial Management)

I am a Senior Lecturer in Accounting, Taxation and Corporate Finance at the University of Sunderland in London. I am also the Programme Manager for Accounting and Finance. I am responsible for making sure our accounting and finance programmes are industry focussed and market oriented, teaching, learning and academic programmes are fit for purpose and consistent with all University regulations and national subject benchmarks. I hold an MSc in Accounting and Finance from London South Bank University. I am a Fellow with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) by profession with over 25 years practice and industry experience. I am also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA).

I have over 21 years' teaching and management experience developed through roles in the higher education sector, banking and the consultancy industry.



Teaching and supervision

Research

My research interests have centered on taxation. I’m currently considering a PhD proposal drawing on how efficient taxation systems contribute to economic growth in developing economies. 

I have an MSc and BSc in Accounting and Finance.  

I'm a fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (FCCA) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT).
