I have over three decades of private and public sector work experience from roles in retail and investment banking, university administration (as Head of Student Records),  finance, accounting and treasury management, teaching and academic research and educational management in higher education institutions in Nigeria and the United Kingdom.

Research

My research interests fall within the banking, international finance, monetary economics, financial economics and fiscal policy clusters; with specific research efforts in monetary integration, monetary reactions and money neutrality, fiscal reaction and fiscal cyclicality, exchange rate behaviour and dynamics, informal economies of Africa and banking efficiency and banking fragility in Africa.

I hold a PhD in International Finance from the School of Oriental and African Studies and an MSc in Money, Banking and Finance from the University of the West of England. I also received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria and a BSc in Accounting from the University of Lagos, Nigeria.

I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, United Kingdom.
