Personal Academic Tutor
I am passionate about inspiring students to achieve academic success while enjoying their academic journeys to be better fit for their future careers.
Before joining the UoSiL, I worked as a Careers Coach, an ELT and a Visting Lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire. While working at the University of Herefordshire, I engaged in teaching MSc students in the Hertfordshire Business School, the modules Executive Careers and Professional Development, Independent Applied Research in Management and Data Analysis Sessions focusing on NVivo for staff and research students from UH doctoral programmes.
I have completed my PhD in Educational Psychology at the University of Hertfordshire. I also hold an MA in Linguistics from University of Kelaniya and a BA(Hons.) Languages (English and Economics) from Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. I am an Aurorean as well as a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy. I have over six years of experience in teaching and providing academic support to students in Higher Education
