Lecturer (Business and Management)

I am a lecturer with the business and management department at the University of Sunderland in London. Within my role at the university, I design, assess, and lead modules with the Integrated Foundation Year. I also supervise dissertations for undergraduate business students. My two decades long education career has seen me teaching both in the UK and internationally.

I teach on a number of modules, including work-based learning, Entrepreneurship, role of marketing in business organisations, leading and managing business organisations, Global business environment and academic and employability skills.

Research

My current research interests are around the factors which lead to entrepreneurial success for women in the UK and Nigeria.

I’ve taken this interest further, looking at modelling what makes a successful entrepreneur as well as the challenges and solutions behind becoming your own boss.

I also work in the fields of social science research methodology in addition to teaching and learning in higher education environments.
I hold a doctorate in Business Administration from the University of West Scotland.

I also have an MBA from the University of Sunderland, and MSc Management from BPP University, London and a PGCert in Academic Practice.
In addition to my academic qualifications, I am a Chartered Managers and Fellow of Advance HE.
