Lecturer (Nursing and Public Health)

I am a Registered Adult Nurse (RN) with a rich educational background, holding an MSc and a BSc in Adult Nursing. Since becoming registered with the NMC in 2007, my career has spanned various healthcare settings, reflecting my commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth.

My journey in nursing is diverse, with experience in general nursing, cardiology, and diabetic care. Working with nursing agencies across the UK, I've tailored care to patients with long-term illnesses in their homes, honing organisational skills and effectively managing patient relationships.

In hospital settings and nursing homes, my skills have flourished. My tenure at the NHS South Warwickshire Hospital was notable for significant contributions to infection control, mentoring student nurses, and managing patient care in specialised wards. Similarly, in care home environments, I've supported individuals with various health challenges, including mental health conditions, dementia, and physical disabilities, focusing on mentorship, team leadership, and continuous development.

Proudly awarded the status of Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) of Advance HE, I have demonstrated a commitment to teaching excellence in higher education. This accolade recognises my dedication to learning, teaching, and enhancing educational practices in nursing.

Throughout my career, I've prioritised ongoing personal and professional development, upholding the highest standards of nursing care and education. My path reflects a dedication to compassionate, competent care and an unwavering commitment to the values and principles at the heart of the nursing profession.
