Lecturer (Undergraduate Nursing)

I am a lecturer in the Department of Nursing and Public Health at the University of Sunderland in London, teaching courses in both nursing and public health. My research interests centre on understanding the emotional impact of 'breast ironing' in on young girls from Cameroon, West Africa.

The process of 'breast ironing', also known as breast flattening, is intended to prevent the development of breasts in pubescent girls and has serious and complex emotional consequences.
